The Spring Village Mandir has been in existence since 1925, during which time it has provided ongoing academic, physical, social, moral and spiritual guidance for persons from all walks of life.
This Mandir has nurtured individuals who have proceeded to make invaluable contributions to the community and the world by extension. This Mandir is driven by the pride and knowledge that it touches the lives of men, women and children in positive ways and it continues to be a motivating factor in the lives of its devotees.
The saying “Service to Humanity is Service to God” has always been and continues to be the guiding principle of the devotees of The Spring Village Mandir. This has been mainly responsible for the development of this Mandir from 1925 to today. Fueled by the support of its present and future devotees, may it continue to grow from strength to strength.
Our Sunday Morning Service is a delightful way of performing devotion to the Lord in a congregational setting. Worship is lead by our very own Pundit Shiva and members of the Mandir. Service usually runs from 7am to 9am. All are welcome to join.
These classes are held on a Friday afternoon and centers around the desire to promote and nurture the cultural activities in the community. Classes are usually geared towards children, however, all age groups are welcome. Some of the topics include: Singing, Hindi, Instruments and Yoga.
Qualified professionals and teachers offer their time, service and expertise in various fields of study to all students, helping them with specific areas of difficulty or general academic studies. These classes are open to one and all and are usually held on a Saturday afternoon. There is no cost to these classes.
Every month, the Mandir contributes to the upliftment of a family (information brought forward by members) via a monetary donation or a hamper- based on the need at the time. The donations given by the members of the Mandir and other generous individuals help to make this all happen.
Our flagship event for the year. It includes our renowned tea party held at the mandir, as well as many games and stalls. It is truly a fantastic family bonding experience.
Members of the Mandir make their signature dishes to be sold to the members of the community (and country at large). Items include Indian sweets and desserts, corn soup, pepper roti, bread, pastries and various requested Indian dishes
Annual fund raising dinner. This supports various youth activities and contributes to the funding of the summer camp for the children. This is an event that helps to bring the members of the mandir together to enjoy the live entertainment and the amazing food.
Another annual fund raising event with all the proceeds going towards the summer camp for the children. The food is amazing and it supports a worthy cause.
Usually runs for 2 weeks at the Mandir during the school break. It is something that the children look forward to as it combines a great deal of learning activities with very fun activities. Various professionals give of their time to come to speak with the children, helping them to understand the variety of career options available to them and what it really entails.
Our annual Christmas Treat is something all the children look forward to (and the adults too), as it is a time of year that embodies togetherness, happiness, love and appreciation.
